Following a drastic increase in crime, we have come to see a new technique being used by criminals.

Over the past few weeks we have noticed an increase in incidents where criminals cut the power cables outside of a residence or business. This then disables the alarm system (Though we still see an AC Loss signal and will dispatch) which means that criminals can move around a premises without triggering any passives or beams.

We ask the residents of Polokwane to keep your ears open during the night, for any suspicious sounds. A few seconds heads up could prevent a break-in. Should you see any suspicious people on the streets at night, we also ask that you call MTRS on 015 590 9911. DO NOT APPROACH SUSPICOUS PEOPLE ON YOUR OWN. Do not risk your safety, rather wait for back-up from MTRS.
